TODAY'S FORECAST SUMMARY

Cold Start - Some Early Mist/Fog - Sunny Spells Developing

FRIDAY 19TH OCTOBER:- PUBLISHED @ 06:55

A colder start than anticipated with temperatures a tad below 2.0°C as I write, making this the coldest with me since 30th March. Some early mist/fog patches in places to start the day which should readily clear and allow another day of sunny spells as an 'Azores High' continues to throw a ridge NE across much of the UK. Temperatures peaking at 13°C or 14°C

WIND:-

Very little wind through the day. What breeze there is, generally from the WNW initially, soon backing W/WSW through the day

ULTRA VIOLET
LOW 2

EVENING & OVERNIGHT:-

Clear skies look the theme into and through evening at first, perhaps some high cloud becoming apparent ater through the evening, into the early hours. Some mist patches likely developing towards dawn. Temperatures falling to 5°C or 6°C

WIND:-

Light throughout and mainly from the WSW

Sunrise 07:35 Sunset 17:56

OUTLOOK FOR SATURDAY 20TH OCTOBER - PUBLISHED @ 07:25 FRIDAY 19TH OCTOBER

Likely a misty start across the forecast area. The mist and fog will lift and clear to allow sunny spells to develop through the morning and sunny spells look set to cintinue into/through the afternoon. Temperatures peaking at 14°C

WIND:-

Light through the day and mainly from the SW

ULTRA VIOLET
LOW 2

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:-

ANEMOMETER - DUE TO SITING ISSUES, WIND/GUST SPEED ARE BEING VERY MUCH UNDER READ, PERHAPS BY OVER 50%+ AT TIMES

* Current Conditions may reflect 'Dry'/'Stopped Raining' when it is obviously raining. Unless rainfall is moderate/heavy during any rainfall, it can take a while for even as little as 0.1mm to be recorded, hence, the perceived 'incorrect' description of 'Dry'/'Stopped Raining'
