TODAY'S FORECAST SUMMARY

Bright/Sunny Spells - Low Isolated Shower Risk

SATURDAY 21ST JULY 2018>:- PUBLISHED @ 08:45

The very dry spell came to a welcome end yesterday evening for many. This site recorded 6.8mm to midnight, the firat rain since 17th June. A reasonable amount, but unfortunately not really enough for the farmers and growers, the only consolation being that it fell through the evening when least evaporation is evident.

Back to the day After a cloudy start very early doors, sunny skies have developed across the forecast area. The sunny spells theme will continue through the morning and into the afternoon. There will however likely to be more cloud around through the afternoon, whilst staying bright with sunny spells, with a seemingly small risk of a shower. Temperatures again in the very warm/hot category, peaking at 24°C to 26°C

WIND:-

Very light yet again and mainly from the WNW, perhaps backing WSW for a time through the afternoon

POLLEN LOW
ULTRA VIOLET
HIGH 6

EVENING & OVERNIGHT:-

Set to see some further bright spells into early evening, still with that low risk of a shower. Some clear spells through the evening/early hours may lead to some local mist patches forming by dawn. Temperatures falling to 15°C or 16°C

WIND:-

Generally light through the evening, perhaps increasinf a tad through the early hours and mainly from the WNW

Sunrise 05:05 Sunset 21:09

OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY 22ND JULY -

Perhaps some very early mist patches that should readily clear. Bright/sunny spells through the day, but perhaps more cloudier at times. Another very warm/hot day in store with temperatures again in the 24°C to 26°C

WIND:-

A slighlty breezier day than recently, but not overly so, with gust potential to 15mph in places and generally from the WNW

POLLEN LOW
ULTRA VIOLET
HIGH 7

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:- PUBLISHED @ 09:00 FRIDAY 20TH JULY

Next week is currently looking hot, even very hot as we potentilally could see temperatures in the 29°C to 32°C range through the week, with highest of the days being Monday, Tuesday and perhaps Friday being particularly hot. But, next week is a 'long way' off and this is not a forecast as such, just an indication of the current potential. As always, need to note that weather is a 'moving document' as I call it, and even minor changes/disturbances in the expected pattern, can change the outlook alarmingly.

* Current Conditions may reflect 'Dry'/'Stopped Raining' when it is obviously raining. Unless rainfall is moderate/heavy during any rainfall, it can take a while for even as little as 0.1mm to be recorded, hence, the perceived 'incorrect' description of 'Dry'/'Stopped Raining'
